Expressions

Q: Do you sell beds? 你们这里卖床吗？用“Do you sell…?”表示“这里卖…吗？”，是比较直接的提问方式。

A: Yes, we have king-sized and queen-sized beds. 卖，我们这里有特大号的和大号的床。Yes, we have a large selection. 卖，我们的床有非常多的款式。“have a large selection”表示“选择的范围很广”，即“可供选择的款式很多”的意思。此外，要知道，床的尺寸从single、full、queen、king是依次变大的。

Q: I’m looking for a 3-piece bedroom collection. 我想买三件套卧室家具。用“I’m looking for…”表示自己想要买某样东西。“三件套卧室家具”用collection来表达，collection包括床、床头柜和抽屉式柜子等。

A: We don’t have 3-piece collections, but we have 5-piece collections. 我们没有三件套组合家具，但是我们有五件套组合家具。组合家具按照件数的不同有不同的类型，比如5-piece collection是五件套组合家具，7-piece collection是七件套组合家具。

Q: What is this cabinet made （out） of? 这个陈列柜是什么材质的？“用…制造”可以用be made out of…来表达。如果该短语用介词of就表示“物理性的变化”，用from 则表示“化学性的变化”。如：Butter and cheese are made from milk（黄油和奶酪是用牛奶做成的。）

MDF是medium density fi breboard的首字母缩写，意为“中密度纤维板”，是一种比较常用的板材。

Q: Does delivery cost extra? 要另外算运费吗？美国有些店本身不提供送货服务，所以事先一定要问：Do/Canyou deliver?（你们送货吗？）
